About Me
Hello! My name is MaKensey Kaye Alford. I am a mezzo-soprano with a strong mix and belt with a focus in contemporary musical theatre and pop/rock style singing. I am a strong actor and strong mover with good comedic timing, but I do not shy away from dramatic roles. I am determined, resilient, and reliable. I am someone who will work as hard as I can to make my dreams come true.
Current Projects
During July and August of 2025, I wll be performing in Godspell and a Shakespeare production at Shakespeare in the Valley in New Hampshire!
I will be moving to NYC in October of 2025.
In the distant future, I will be seen performing in a choir at Carnegie Hall, conducted by John Rutter on May 25, 2026!
Recent Projects
I recently worked at Shakespeare in the Valley in New Hampshire during the summer of 2025. I was seen in A Misdummer Night's Dream, Godspell, and Sugar Coated Shakespeare a touring TYA show!
I recently played Fraulein Kost in the University of Montevallo's production of Cabaret and the Customer/Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors!
I performed in the University of Montevallo's Senior Showcase in New York City on March 12th, 2025 at Open Jar Studios. I was seen performing "Finish the Fight" from Suffs, "Warrior" by Demi Lovato, and a scene from The Practice.
I have recently been seen in cabarets in NYC at locations including 54Below, The Green Room 42, The Reverie Room, Don't Tell Mama, and The Beechman!

I recently graduated in May 2025 from the University of Montevallo and am looking for year round work! I can work locally to NYC and the surrounding areas. I perform on both stage and screen. I am also available for costume and stage management work. Please see my resume for the details of my experience and skills.
A Lifetime of Performing
I am a recent B.F.A. Musical Theatre graudate from the University of Montevallo. I began performing as a young child in Mobile, Alabama. I performed at many theatres including: Mobile Saenger Theatre, Playhouse in the Park, Joe Jefferson Players, Spring Hill Singers Show Choir, and Baker High School Theatre Department.
